Seat Muscle Strengthening for Horseback Riding
It’s a combination of balance + mobility + coordination.
A good riding “seat” involves more than just your seat muscles. Seat muscle strengthening for horseback riding involves improving the connection between your seat muscles, your torso, your arms, and your own (human) poll. This week’s exercise is a variation of the Warrior II pose, aka “Tippy Bird” or “Teapot Pose.” Make sure to keep your hands on your pelvis to help you know where your body is in space. Also, keep the points of your pelvis facing toward the ground.
